The cover is made of a paper-towel like material that tears too easily. I bought all of Allerzip’s products – the mattress encasing, pillow and duvet covers. I followed the manufacturer’s instructions precisely and installed the encasements with the help of a pest control professional. He complimented the quality of the other encasements, and I agreed they felt sturdy. But we were both concerned about the box spring encasement. It just felt flimsy. Sure enough, despite putting padding on the bed frame and exercising extreme caution, the box spring encasement tore during installation. It’s just not sturdy enough for actual use. You’d be better off taping your $50 to your box spring with duct tape then using this encasement! The mattress encasement, on the other hand, is made of much better material. But consider using another brand for your box spring.

I purchased this item because I had a flea infestation in my barn. I had to buy 50lb bag from another vendor. The powder is messy but it works. I’m not sure I could stand it in my house. There are still a few fleas evey now and gain. I suspect they are hatching. It is a great thing though to be able to fight them without poison.

I’ve had these pillow protectors for about 4 months, and they’re great! They’re easy to care for and durable. I machine wash and dry them (on harsher settings than recommended) every couple weeks and they’ve held up wonderfully–even the zippers which are usually the first things to go. The fabric is lined on the inside with a thin layer of vinyl that keeps moisture and mites from penetrating. And no, they vinyl is not irritating and noisy like you may think. My husband sweats a lot at night, and these have kept our pillows stain-free and stink-free. I’m going to buy their mattress cover as soon as my regular one wears out. I highly recommend this product.

I purchased this product after finding out that my apartment had a bed bug infestation. Not only did i already have an exterminating company do the initial extermination, but i purchased everything and anything that may/may not work on getting rid of the suckers. This is how i got to this product, during my research for my war with the bed bugs.
Before i purchased this product, my sleep included of keeping the lights on and waking up every hour because of the feeling that something was on me. You might call it paranioa. The purchase of this product gave me a sense of security so for the first time i almost slept thru the night with the lights off… I SAID ALMOST. I woke up at 2:30am for a trip to the bathroom and just to be on the safe side i turned the light on upon my return to the bedroom. Well, there it was, on my bed, making itself all comfortable after feeding on my blood.
MY WAR FOR GOOD SLEEP CONTINUES!

I moved out of a bug infested apartment building and into a new one, being VERY careful with all my stuff. I bought a new boxspring and mattress, and having the appropriate covers added the peace of mind I needed to ensure that on the off-chance any bugs followed me, they wouldn’t damage my brand new $1200 bed.
