Pike Street Throw

I’ve owned this throw for two years and I love it. It is very lite in weight yet it keeps you nice and warm. The fabric is soft and handles machine washing well. We have purchased a few more to keep in the car in case of an emergency and as a gift to my father-in-law who loves it.

As some other reviewers stated, it’s light and keep you warm. However, the reason for 4 stars is I don’t really like its texture. It doesn’t feel like 100% natural, which it isn’t.

Bought it as a gift for the significant other. She wears it every night when she studies or is on the laptop. Very warm and snuggly!

I was a bit taken aback to see how lightweight this throw was, but then one of the reasons I had ordered it was the quest for something that would keep me warm without making me feel as if I were enveloped in some kind of protective gear of the kind used by scientists working with the Ebola virus.
The bottom line: the light weight is deceptive. This throw is a great way to keep warm without feeling weighed down or constricted — it’s just as effective as a heavyweight faux fur throw (a Pottery Barn purchase) is and much more comfortable. The microsuede side is particularly nice; the other side feels like a light artificial fabric mix designed to imitate silk. It’s not nasty, but it’s not as pleasant a feel (and if you use this on your bed with this side down, it can slide off more easily.) The filling (not down) doesn’t shift in use (the big negative of my down duvet) and doesn’t bunch up when it’s washed.
The only downside for me is that even at 5′2″, I would have preferred a slightly longer throw. As it is, if I stretch out for a nap, I have to choose between keeping my shoulders or my toes warm. That’s the reason for the 4-star rather than 5-star rating. But right now I’m using it to compensate for the shifting down in my duvet cover; I keep the bedroom below 60 degrees at night, and pulling this up around my shoulders means I wake up comfortably warm however chilly it is outdoors. At the sale price I paid, it’s a bargain and I wish I had snapped up a few more.

I bought this for a Christmas gift. It was not the color it showed online. The green looked more sage online but it’s really a true olive. The fabrics feel cheap and one side is slippery, almost like a coat lining. It smelled weird when I took it out of the bag. Also, the size is not all that big. The wraparound description is if it’s a child or small adult. If I’d had more time, I probably would have returned it, but I didn’t have the time to change it out. Good thing I bought it on sale so I didn’t feel so bad. I didn’t even notice feathers in the piece. It felt more like a big hunk of polyester. Disappointed when I saw that one the description. I should have read reviews more carefully then I would have noticed that Amazon changed the product. I didn’t notice the reviews until after I’d opened the item.

I actually purchased this as a bed blanket, even though it doesn’t cover the entire area on top of my Queen size mattress. I wanted something that was much lighter than my comforter, while still providing a reasonable amount of insulation, sufficient for southern california chilly nights. I’m very pleased with the result

This is a great throw – extremely soft, like the soft fur of a nice teddy bear. It’s much warmer than the fleece blankets that have been all the rage this year. And it’s much more of a “company worthy” blanket – one you would be happy to drape over a couch or bed when someone is coming over. I like it so much that I’m thinking of getting the king sized version for my bed. I bought the espresso version and it is a nice rich brown. It’s a great deal and perfect for gift giving.

Excellent buy! I have been using it since last Christmas and the softness remains great. I am planning to get more, for all members of my family. It is extremely lightweight, easy to fold, and pleasing to the eyes.

The price was right on these this summer and I knew we’d have a cold Fall and Winter so I bought one for each of my kids. They are just the right size for them to cuddle up with on the couch for movie night, and they are so incredibly lightweight yet furry and soft. My boys loved theirs so I got two more for us even though as other reviewers have mentioned, they are a tad on the short side. None of ours had shedding problems, I bought the Gold color. They’ve been washed and dried numerous times and are holding up beautifully – color is still great and still not shedding. I would recommend this, particularly for the price on Friday sale!

I really like this blanket, definitely warms you up. Two things though that others have said: it’s almost square in shape, which isn’t the best shape if you’re 6′ or taller. Also, because of the fabric it’s made out of, it generates a LOT of static. I guess there are ways to get rid of that though. Overall, I’m happy with it.

This throw is so soft. I LOVE curling up under it in my big reading chair.
Someone mentioned something about the size, but for me, this is the perfect size when I’m sitting. Anything larger would just be too much bulk.
I couldn’t be happier with this item. (Its reasonable price is an added benefit.)

I try and keep the thermostat turned down in the winter to save $$, but let’s face it-nobody likes to feel cold. I looked into the snuggie and thought the idea was good, but was disapointed by the poor reviews, so held off. When I saw the positive reviews for thie product, I bought 4, one for each member of my family (from Santa).
I love them! My daughters were thrilled with the softness of the lining. They are good quality-heavy enough to keep you warm, but light enough to not feel weighed down. They zip about halfway up (to around your waist area) then the top snaps to near the area where the zip at the waist stopped (creating your arms) and then it zips again from your waist to your neck. Much better than wearing a robe backwards!

I bought this for a gift for my wife – she absolutely loves it. She finds it to be far superior to ‘those ones in the stores’. This one is pleasantly soft on the inside. It is very warm. The color was as presented by Amazon. At 5′9 my wife can walk around with the wrap on and still can pull feet inside when she sits on the couch. She likes to two way zippers, one for the top and one for the bottom.

My wife loves this and she found zero drawbacks. It is VERY warm and comfortable to wear on a recliner, not too bulky.

Very nice as a throw cover or as a wrap a bit long to walk around in for a shorter person but great for sitting around in. Very warm soft and cozy!

This is really a square blanket with some zippers and buttons that help keep it “wrapped” around you with awkward folds open for your arms. It felt nice and warm, but I was actually looking for a fancy “snuggie” type thing as a semi-gag, semi-real holiday present, and this was (for that purpose) more of a dud. This is not to negate all the wonderful things said about it; I’m sure they’re true, but “sleeves” — not so much.

I got the red AND brown wraps fully intending to give them as Christmas gifts. Then I took one out for myself! All I can say is it’s perfect for TWO people – there is more than enough room between the sleeve to fit two good sized people comfortably! It does not fit as shown. If it weren’t such a hassle I’d return both packages even if they were a good buy – a good enough buy that it’s not worth packing them up & standing in a UPS or FedEx line to return them.
