It's much warmer than the fleece blankets that have been all the rage this year. And it's much more of a "company worthy" blanket - one you would be happy to drape over a couch or bed when someone is coming over. I like it so much that I'm thinking of getting the king sized version for my bed. I bought the espresso version and it is a nice rich brown. It's a great deal and perfect for gift giving. I love that it looks nice as a throw, but it's also a great blanket. My only issue is the texture...it kind of has a furry look to it up close. You cant see the weave of the blanket, but the first day I had it my cat managed to snag it, which she's done a couple more times. Still, it's so soft and I love the rich brown color. The pillows were a nice topper to the whole collection. The embroidery on the top is very well done - elevated, smooth with no snags, and the bottom side is cleanly finished.
