The Magnolia Organics Resource Center

I bought one of these Magnolia Organic sheets for my sons crib a few months ago. I can’t believe how soft and thick they are! I want some for my own bed!

beware of this company. they mislead people into thinking that the product is organic. I emailed the company twice to see if they added any chemicals and fire retardants to their organic sheets and nobody even took the time to answer me. just because they use organic cotton does not mean that you are getting clean pure sheets. many companies that use the word organic in their description are misleading people simply to gain business. many only use organic cotton but then load on the chemicals. some only use a small percentage organic cotton (pottery barn), but then still call the sheets organic. If these were truly chemical free, the company not only would have answered my email questions (they don’t have a phone number), but they would have spelled it out on their website, which they do not. They simply state that they use organic cotton. Until this company does something to verify the overall purity of their products, not just the type of cotton used, do not be tricked into breathing in dangerous chemicals while you sleep.

I bought two of these portacrib sheets on a super sale and couldn’t be more pleased. I bought the butterscotch (which is a perfect orange color) and the baby blue. They washed up very nicely and they are thick, high quality sheets. I’m using them not in a portacrib but on our mini crib, which has a three inch mattress. I can tell they were designed for the slimmer portacrib style mattress, but they still fit on my crib, which is a huge bonus. The bottom line? Great sheets, fantastic price, and the colors couldn’t be better for coordinating with contemporary bedding.

These sheets seem decent for the price. They don’t smell funny out of the minimal but sufficient packaging like so many textiles do. They have a classy sheen to them, and the sheen has a classy boxy pattern. Oddly, Amazon included cushioning bags of air in the box, as if cotton sheets would be shattered during shipment. (The sheets arrived intact.)

I want to emphasize the extremely creative way in which Magnolia names their colors. My set is “mystic blue”, which I don’t think is what I ordered, and anyhow isn’t one of the colors Amazon purports to sell. Equally confusingly, this “mystic blue” is actually a very light green. Maybe that’s the mystical part – why is blue green? Well, I don’t really care. They are just sheets. But if you were hoping the picture on this page might have any relation to the product you receive, you may be out of luck.
